I was very surprised to see on L.A.D website that to get their extra 28bhp they used an open pipercross induction kit, madness, thought they caused you to lose power?
If I put one in the space behind my headlight and then ran silicone piping from the Kit to the TB would that affect performance as it is so far away from the tb or not?
Yeah, Something like a ram air filter would be ok, Am contacting David at k-tec about whether he can get a relocation kit, like the 1.2 one to fit to that point!
TBH I would be amazed if a LAD car produced any more power than standard on any rolling road (other than maybe LADs own with its rubber needle).
I went for one of their infamous conversions on my old 106 and even in conjunction with a Pug Sport IK (race proven and around 8 bhp on its own), and fully decat system + manifold I only saw 136 bhp rather than the 160 they claimed. It is amazing they are still able to make such claims and get away with it.
Steer well clear good Clio people, you have worked hard for your money so spend it wisely
