ok im looking at changing the standard tape player over in my new car


looking at a headunit maybe like this one

JVC, obviously i wont get that one as it comes with lots of cheap crap, but I like that headunit with the small screen that you can upload pictures to, + it plays cd-rs and cd-rw discs

opinions?? i like the idea of a small screen that i can put pics on

Just be careful buying from Ebay as most new units are from America and thus dont have all the uk features and potentially the tuners wont work.

im looking at getting one off a private seller maybe 2nd hand rather than off a company on ebay

dont trust them at all

should have bought gees one on here he was selling but i wasnt planning on getting a new hu at the time

that or i could maybe get a pioneer 8600 or something someone suggested

Alpine? Better sound quality rather than gimmiky features.

I ordered the JVC KD-AVX1 last week. Should come tomorrow. Plays most media formats and can also play stored MP3 data on a DVD disc so up to 58 albums on one disc!! Also plays DVDs through the integrated 3" screen built into the head unit! It costs around £430 delivered. Cant wait to get it.

If anyone is interested in an Alpine 7878R then I have one for sale too. Theres one for sale on Ebay for £350 quid, Im selling mine for just £200. Awesome head unit, retailed at over £700 when it was released and Alpine had to pull the plug on it due to it being too feature packed for the price. Very rare unit indeed and well worth £200.
