righty....

going to give the clio a good old fasioned wash at the weekend but im planning on spending the full day pampering the paint work.... its a hand DIY job as i dont have one of those PC machines to help me on my way....
here is what i was Planning on doing...

wash with soapy water (two bucket method)

wipe down wit chamonies (dont know how to spell it)

clay the paintwork, buff it off

polish using auto glym high resin glazing polish

wax using wax that i haven't yet bought (any cost effective options)

thats it. will probably wax it 2 or 3 times.

sound ok to ur lot?

Rinse with hose,
Wash with two bucket method using decent shampoo - if you havent got one then get some meguiars gold class from halfrauds
Rinse
dry with chamois or microfibre cloth
Clay
wash again with two bucket method
Rinse
Dry
Polish with Autoglym Super Resin Polish
Seal with Autoglym Extra gloss protection

I would get a good drying towel to replace the chamois

3 coats of wax in one hit won't really work or make much difference.

i will wax it/wash it through the week a number of times....

Whats the difference between a PC polisher and the buffers you can get from argos for 20 quid? the PC polishers just look like angle grinder type things to me... can you not rent them out from anywhere lol

Spray with hose,
Super spray, With strong mix of car wash gel. Either halfords of Megs Gold Class,
Wash using 2 bucket method,
Dry with Microfibre.
Clay,
Wash with hose then dry with microfiber.
Super resin polish it.
Buff off.

When i get more money im getting some poorboys wax, quick detailer etc.

The Argos things have no power to correct swirls.

You really need a Dual Action type machine such as the Porter Cable or Megs G220 to do any sort of paint correction, and even they make hard work of defects compared to a rotary, but are a easier to use.
