orange engine light flashing?

i was on the way home form wor and the orange light to thr right of the dash started flashing ive just had the car serviced so shouldnt be any probs, i think i may need an new exhaust could this be whats causing it a leak in the exhaust???

if the exhasut was to blame it would be bottom right hand corner light(picture of a Tap kinda thing,

did the flashing light looked like a Tap but with STOP onit ?

na not stop just the tap on the right of the rev counter

When mine was doing this the car drove like shite and the coilpack was knackered.

I had this, was a spark plug at fault.

just had a look for you, in the handbook it says:

"if it flashes, reduce the engine speed until the light stops flashing"

you have a missfire and unburnt fuel is being chucked into the exhaust investigate immediately as unburnt fuel will f**k the cat eventually

Likely to be a coilpack followed by leads if not then plugs
