Origin renewal - scam

My Origin B2 subscription ran out in August - renewed it tonight (been skint). I was expecting a full year from today - but no, they backdated the renewal to the date it ran out. So I paid for a year but got only 306 days...

Scam?

Sounds dodgy to me, Id not be impressed.

I renewed mine a couple of days before it expired, so Ive got the full 12 months from the date the free 6 months ran up.

Were you still able to use the Origin from August- September?

You can use it forever, but you cant download updates unless your subscription is current.

Seen loads of other complaint from people where Origin have done this. Ring them up and complain - theyll recredit it.

Thats a bit out of order that they tried that one really, what would have happened had it been 11months since you renewed your subscription. I wonder how many people just put up with it?!
