Anyone know how many watts the orignal mk2ph2 speakers are?

Buying speakers with a higher power handling will yield no increase in output watt for watt....
To gain higher output watt for watt you would require a more sensitive speaker....
Higher power handling would equate to better quality, however, this usually leads to the speaker masking distortion to a point where clipping will occur before the listener hears it, leading to premature speaker failure.....
The best way forward is more input power, then upgraded speakers correctly mounted/installed....
