Osram night breakers

  Clio Rush 1.2
Hi guys thinking of gettin these and wondered what people thought of them? If anyone has them can yous upload a pic for me? Cheers chaps

Jordan

Yeah they are a great upgrade, slightly white light but still orange, i chose them over the cheap ice white bulbs on my 1.2, can see much more in the dark, Philips blue vision 501 side bulbs are a great match.

I found for me they didn't last that long though, went through 3 sets, would have one bulb pop around 8-12months of use.

Which ones blew? The 501s? Cause I can't keep a set of lights in my Clio like. They look good but don't last. So they're a good choice? Cause a want a sweet set on her like.

A guy at work had the night breakers ,they looked good , very very white / blue , almost xenon looking infact . Only lasted him a couple of months and both bulbs went . Seems to be the norm for these type of bulbs . They never last long .

The H7s blew, had a few philips 501s blow too, obviously being a high performance bulb they dont last as long as the normal ones, I sent the second blown one off to osram and they sent me a replacement, but overall for the 15-20 quid every 10 months it wasnt a big deal.

I've never had any NBs blow in any of my cars. I run with my lights on all the time. Maybe you had a dodgy batch or some dodgy wiring. The Halfords 50% ones I had in my Clio before went on the same side regularly. I blamed the car TBH !

NBs are great, cheap, and very bright.

I had the original ones in mine and they blew after a couple of months. They now do the Night Breaker Plus, apparently this has a longer lifetime.

Tried all the Halfrauds ones 50%, 70% and 90% (or something like that) in my daily diesel Focus, all blew within months and although brighter the beam patterns seemed off and I could never actually see more!

Put a set of Nightbreaker plusses in the 182 the other week and am now dipping at large roadsigns due to glare, they are excellent. Also added some cheap 'bay single LED 501 sidelights and slivervisions and the overall white look is very pleasing to say the least!

We sell them at work and out of all the sets we have sold we know of only 2 sets blowing but they did have big greasy finger prings on the glass which is a no no on the bulbs

Ive got a set in my high beam as i do a lot of country lanes at night and i love them and would recomend them to any one as a upgrade bulb

I am using them on the Megane Classic and on the Clio right now. No complaints at the moment. Makes a big difference on the road over here at nights, looking out for potholes.

I've been running night breakers on my saxo for the last 3 years, No issues at all, never popped a bulb. They're very bright when you need them too
