Meguiars Super Degreaser is an alternative option.

TBH - If you want bulk get hold of the AG in 5 litre sizes from you local AG rep.

^^these all good for arches and suchlike?
How do you find out were local ag rep?
what sort of price on 5lts?
cheers

Local rep will be on the AG site.

Wheel arches I use Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner on my own cars, only need the AG on other peoples.

I have only used the first 2. Well worth the money as the make so much product as they are diluteable.

can i ask why you use one product on yours and one on other people?is one better for different tasks?

They do some proper spray bottles for them. I have 2 for the apc, one mixed up 10:1 and one 4:1. Worth a look.

I tend to keep on top of my own cars so even a mild mix of APC 10:1 works fine. I tend to only need the big guns for other peoples!

So the all purpose cleaner is good to use weekly as in every weekend clean and the degreaser is good for like winter time arch cleaning, were theres a build up of dirty road s**t?

My 306 does 400 miles a week at times, washed once a month and even at this time a year APC works fine on the arches. Only time I use the Super Degreaser or AG is on when I first purchase a car etc.

Our local auto factors stock the 5ltr cans of bulk autoglym stuff. Same product as the smaller retail bottles but they're named differently.

I'll see how much they work out at Adam. You need it in a rush? I might be over over your way on Sunday sometime.

^^ from memory, sounds about right.

Bear in mind you get almost 5 times more for your money than the 5.99 for your standard bottle. For twice the price....good deal imo,

I'll call you when I've dropped in to check it out. Might not make it tonight though lol:rasp:

f**k 400 miles a week how far are you from work ?

What polish, wax, plastic dressing are you using on 306 ?

And i take it your only using APC on arches ?

Not that far 30 odd mile round trip, I just have mates who live a fair few miles away!

Polished with SRP, sealed with Jeffs AGT and Waxed with Zymol Titanium - combo is still going strong after 2 months, beading as when just applied.

Dressings - Back to AG Bumper Care gel on Plastics after the Black Wow Failure and AG Rubber Plus on Tyres.

APC on tyres, wheels and arches before washing.

Any one got any tips on cleaning Audi Arches as a few i work on have a matted material in the arches that seems to hold all the s**t around the roads where i live. ( The Sticks )

  titanic killer
I no the stuff mate had it under the arches on my alfa an old carpet brush and the above chemicals could be a start i no they hold all the s**t in them and as soon as there cleaned get caked in crap again,at least with plastic arches you can sort of protect them from s**t sticking to it

Yeah i am thinking of getting a small Carpet/aphoulstry shapooing device maybe that will work better..

My Mum's Golf has this too - must be a German thing. TBH on my mums I just spray it off and leave it at that, as like you say gets filthy as soon as you drive anywhere - and my mum couldn't care less, she is happy if I just shampoo the car once every now and then for her. Plus my sisters started driving now so will probably blow up in the coming months, what with her being a girl and all... ;)

Cleaning inside of rims and arches well is one area I must admit to being lazy on, solely because you can't really see them and they get dirty straight away.

For arches I normally spray on and wipe down with a sponge, but sure I miss loads. Will do it over Christmas properly. I promise...

^ Ha ... I make it sound worse than it is, they are pretty tidy really, just not 100% ATM and if I took my wheels off in Leeds to clean them then they would be gone before you could turn on the hose...they are well sealed though so should come up pretty easy when I get home.
