Outer Cv Boot 172

Evening guys and girls,

I’ve got a small hole on my off side outer cv boot. What have people replaced with? Genuine or a decent universal/oe one. I Will get a price from Renault tomorrow but can who has bought one recently give me rough idea? Cheers.

JR flexi boot. Cut off one of the ribs so it doesn't rub on itself and they're grand.

That's the one, you'll want to get a cone too for fitting. You cut off a rib on the large side, maybe even take 2 off? I can't remember.

One rib, i used jubilee clips to replace the cv clips too. Never had an issue.

Obviously wouldn’t make it so it fits from factory, typical. Thanks for your help mate, much appreciated!

They do fit, they just rub on themselves and fail prematurely.
