outside temp guage falty

My outside temp guage on the 172 has decided to start reading 60+ now and its making my car rather cold when the climate control is on is there anything i can do?

It will be on the drivers mirror on the underneath you will have a black 'nobbley' bit...thats your outside temp sensor. 99% of the time its that one..not sure if you can buy one serperatly from a mirror unit...its basically 2 black wires that go to that sensor.

im having the same problem,as yours, but mines reading about 7 degrees colder than my mates and families cars are reading. does anybody know where to get these sensors from please?

I think I may have a spare one in my toolbox, but its 170 miles away

Otherwise - Rip one out of a car at a scrappy! Mirror cover off, pliers in, sensor out

No point buying a new one.
