lee, i understand where your coming from - i had three on the go at one time. Now down to one but that'll be going to two when the Trophy get's a bit older, then it'll become the w/e toy.

I'd personally go with an E36 M3 as a second car if i was doing it now as they can be had for less than a 197 and it's more fun. Either that or go with something like what Fred suggested a small car with a diesel engine ad they'll be cheap to run & own and you won't loose money on it.

May have the same dilema next year, but trying to convince wife she 'NEEDS' a 197 or an F1 meggy;)

Instead of the scenic:race:

  Clio 1.6 16v Dynamique +
Hubby and I have 3 cars between us. I have my Clio, he has his Megane and we have a little 1.2 Clio as our runaround. The problems with having 3 are;

3 x Insurance (although we get a discount for having 3 with the same company).
3 x Tax
3 x MOTs each year, not to mention parts that any one of them could need.
Then of course we have to keep them fueled. It's also a good idea to give each one a good run at least once a week to keep them running smoothly. Apart from those obvious costs, bring them on, the more the merrier. I'd have loads of cars if I had somewhere to put them all. lol

Lee,

2 cars has been the bain of my life so far, Not to the fact that i'm now a student and running a 172 and a Willy! (Which keeps soddin breaking) But in reality before i've driven either, (Tax, Mot, Ins) It's costing me 2k+

Would i change it....Nah...Too much fun! Vee in March next yr to add to the collection.
