Oz F1 Fail...

I think my recent purchase of a set of 16 inch Oz F1's has been abit of a mistake. I've had them refurbed and powdercoated but I don't think they will fit! They are 7 inches wide, with an offset of 37. My superleggeras were the same offset and 6.5 inches wide and I really don't think there was 10mm between them and the coilovers.

Am I going to need spacers?

remember that's a half inch in total wider, so only 1/4" closer to the strut, so if you had 10mm clearance before you should still have 4mm now. If not a 5mm spacer will be fine

Normal OZ's are 43mm offset, 37mm means that your wheels will stick 6mm further out, 1/2" wider track and therefor further away from your suspension.

  Dodgy one
Think the Superleggeras are 7" Edd unless you had two sets! Think they are anyway they look it and have my 205s on :S I didnt even have 5mm on my standard wheels between my strut and tyre wall before, If you can get that much clearence you should be fine

If they aren't 7" maybe thats why my work lot refer to them as baloon tyres lol although they look fine

Only the one set rich, saw a pic of them on your car actually rich and they look stunning!

Maybe I'll be ok, only one way to find out I suppose.

F*cking hell, not a great week for me all round. They are 0.5 inch wider than the superleggeras as they are 7.5J! So definately need spacers.

Not only that they are the wrong centre bore! I took a tape with me when I bought them and they measured 60mm, so they must be ever so slightly too small as they won't go on the hub. I have removed all of the powdercoating on the contact area.

I've had a new clutch this week along with the gearbox being rebuilt.
