Pads man!

Don't buy cheap rubbish.

The pads on my Clio when I bought it hardly had the power to get the abs to work, replaced with genuine Renault and been great ever since.

When people say standards are rubbish they all seem to be comparing knackered brakes to new brakes. Standards are fine, even the cheapies from a motor factors. If its a nice bite and sharp, consistent feel you want then just buy ferrodo, pagid or Brembo O/E's

Clearly they wont do trackdays but then no pad under £100 will be happy with trackday temperatures.... and on a 1.2 I doubt that is a consideration?

i just wanted advice on what pad is best for the car not any hi performance brake pads, like you said its a 1.2 it struggles to get to sixty. Just pads that lasted and worked well. I'm ordering Brembo pads and discs from G172 as soon as moneys in the bank. He offered a very good deal on them that i had to take!

I had brembo OEMs on my 172 for a short while, they were plenty good enough, you have made the right decision.
