Paint colour: Pearl Black

Am I right in thinking this only came on the 172's and not the bog standerd 1.2's etc etc

No standards were Pearl Black. You're getting mixed up with the Black Gold 182 colour that only 182's came in.

Yes.

Pearl black was on the mk1 and mk2 any engine size. My mk2 1.2 was pearl black.
