painted front badge and fogs

After looking to change the front of my car I painted the badge and fog surrounds racing blue to go with the rest of the car but dec ided to change it so went with anthracite and think it looks alot better.

The all blue painted looks a bit like a cheap replica bumper off ebay, the new one looks alot better.

Why do people think he'll be constantly repainting them ?? If they are done right they won't chip anymore than the front bumper will .
