painted my calipers today!

  H22A7 Accord Type R

...nice weather and Sundays seem to lead to a bit of tinkering with the car lately! which is always good! I went to get some Red Paint earlier, although with my car being very silverish / blue, i thought Red might be a bit of a clash! Anyways, turns out there was no red paint anyway, so i got some sky blue paint instead, as i thought this would probably be better anyways! So....... took a few pics too, Cheers all, Rob. http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0SwAAAHEXfooQJt5fgI7P5skRo8t0ZRQnQ2LE3ihuood5R6*0xXIkgvs!Dd*0KVznMiBe0dNE7f18JD7MaHBTPyzNyF1rmfc0CutHrxV8Jeiz0T4Sl3UqZQ/caliper2.JPG?dc=4675414730895959880">http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0SwAAAHEXfooQJt5fgI7P5skRo8t0ZRQnQ2LE3ihuood5R6*0xXIkgvs!Dd*0KVznMiBe0dNE7f18JD7MaHBTPyzNyF1rmfc0CutHrxV8Jeiz0T4Sl3UqZQ/caliper2.JPG?dc=4675414730895959880

i rubbed them wi a wire brush, and sprayed some serious chemical cleaner on them for good measure lol! i would think a good rub would be enough! Red for yours i assume? would look good. All was done wi the calipers inplace, i just took the wheels off........i aint that good lol, i taped off the bits i didnt want to paint

Did my fronts in blue which goes nice with the monaco blue paintwork although gold may have given it a williams ish look.

Calipers need a good going over with a wire brush. Took mine off in the end. Just got to do my rears now.

Well, I need mine doing... definetly methinks.

Might have to get some Hammerite and give them some action!

..........axle stands.............they held the car up..........good enough for me lol! Ill be ordering the apex springs as soon as i get paid at the end of the month!

Does hammerite not have a problem with heat? do you not need special lacquer? this all sounds a bit easy to me - i might have to get myself down homebase at the weekend.
