Painting front Calipers!

When painting my front calipers, is it best to take them off or leave them on or take the disc and pads out?

And is there anything I should watch out for?

I painted my drums yday and that seemed to go ok!

Cheers Danny

i was gonna do this on xmas day as i thought i wouldnt need the car. I was gonna masking tape the lot! and work on them without taking em off. The instructions say u dont need to take em off.

i didnt take anything off mate just painted them while they were on there

its pretty easy really just obviously take the wheel off and paint it!

and make sure its hammerite or caliper paint tho cos they reach high temps so need special paint but im sure you know that!

have fun!

vix :)

I did black, if they arent huge and built by brembo, wilwood, etc, then they dont need to stand out!!

try to avoid getting it over any parts that separate, ie the back of the pads, anti vibration springs etc... as hamerite and especially 2part epoxy paint can be a dick and stick things together.

Cheers lads, Im using blue hamerite, u cant really see them that much with the willy wheels on anyway but at least it will stop them from rusting and look a bit better! Ive heard they also help you stop quicker!!!!!;)

P.s Has anyone undersealed there arches cos I wouldnt mind knowing how long to leave it before driving and how long they took?
