Painting rocker cover and other engine bits

what do people use to paint the rocker cover? I use hammerite smooth on the plenum, but have seen crackle effect paint used on gdi's car.

Any idea what paint it was?

dont know about the paint, but make sure you mask up all th bolt holes.
