Painting samco induction hose?

Bit of a bizarre question but do you think you can paint a silicone induction hose, only reason i ask is that i have a blue samco one but i want it black and wasnt sure if there was a cheaper way to do it rather than shell out £70 on a new one?

erm i dont think that paint would stay on there very well but if you can find it you could use some indutrial electrical tape that comes in rolls about 31/2" -4" if you have a steady hand it would look fine.

^yeah that would be your best bet. paint just doesnt stick to silicon verywell so cover in tape then get some little samco grafix made up and it will be good as new lol.

Paint doesnt stick to silicone at all. If you spray silicone based dash shine near some wet fresh paint it lifts it from the metal.

What about if i put clear primer on over the top first???
