Panel filter or IK??

Hi guys, does anybody know, if I fit a panel filter and not the whole kit will I still get the same roar??

you'll only get the noise fitting an IK .... save your money & stick an exhaust on .

Unless you want see to actual benefits from an induction kit other than a nice noise buy the maxogen otherwise stick a panel filter in there and whack on a decat.job done.

to be honest that doesn't really answer the question, i've already got a full stainless scorpion, jus wanted a bit of engine grunt noise cuz all noise sounds though its coming from the back.

Get an open IK then. Just expect to lose a few BHP from heatsoak from the engine. I have open IK and custom exhaust and love the noise it makes together!

i standard indution system is terrible

the box in the middle of it gets stupidly hot so i can't see how getting rid of this is a bad thing

Right, i'm still very confused, what will give me the noise?? somebody on here simply said remove the cold air feed from the standard airbox and that works, is this true???

yeah you could get a panel filter, remove the middle box and run a cold feed from the front to the hole thats left on the filter box

Ritey oh, which bit is the middle box?? a pic n sum instructions would be much appreciated, also wheres a good place to get a panel filter from??

In my previous car(clio 1,4 16v) I used a BMC cda and was really good...The only thing is that was a bit expensive(if I remember well I bought it here in Greece for ~260 Euro)

But what I can say for sure is that it was working...The sound was in good level,more than the industrial one but not too boomy.

Plus it gave me a good gain in bhp and torgue..

go for a K&N apollo kit. Can link you a video of the car on the road, tho its fitted to a 182.

just taken that resonator box off, it sounds completely different!! AliasOmega, where would I be able to get one of these kits for and how much am I looking at??
