panel filter

going to service car and would like a performance panel filter, wondering what brands people are using and recomend? cheers

I used an ITG panel filter for a while but didn't see the point after about a year & just stuck the good old standard back on...

correct me if im wrong but i thought the whole point in aftermarket filters was to not have to replace every service interval?

Yeah & that but you need to clean them & re oil them, plus mine was torn for some reason! Couldn't be bothered with it & just stuck to standard.

Standard paper filter is best but most change them aftermarket due to benefit of cleaning them etc, itg, pipercross and k-tec panel filters are most popular

How do you clean them?

With petrol / supplied cleaner and after that you need to re-oil them with supplied oil. Without the oil its just a foam which does not a very good job in filtering the air

I run an ITG panel filter.

Don't know if Ktec have updated their design but I had one before and it wasnt very well made. Hence why I bought ITG! Very well made IMO
