panel filters

i was looking to get an induction kit for my 1.2 16v but then i saw the cheaper replacement panel filters for the airbox. has anyone else got one of these and if so what is it like compared to an induction kit?

A panel filter has the same spec as the cone filters, but doesn't give off the sporty roar when you accelerate, thats as far as i know.

I think you will get better performance from a proper induction kit like a viper with cold air going straight to it,a panel filter will just replace your normal filter allowing it to breath more freely.
