Do people still rate this as one of the best dry tyres for road use?

my mates dad has them on his Mk1 RS and raves about them

Easily one of the best dry tyres, I can vouch for that.

Not the greatest wet tyre but I drive like a girl in the wet.

They have a nice soft compound.

Looking forward to trying those Hankooks at some point Warren.

this.

not the best, but noway near the worst.

i use them, not amazing in the wet but i dont go hard in the wet

Me either, Naith pretty much recommended them o me and they aren't expensive either.

On a warm day they are grippy as fook imo!

You only need to look at the tread pattern to understand they're going to be shite at standing water. In damp conditions they aren't bad, and dry they're awesome for the money!

I find them pretty good tbh got them on the williams had them on my last car too. Stick like jobby on a warm day not the best in the wet like gally said.

Yeah i've seen you down the centre a couple of times in your last puma. My daily is the works van lol had a white 306 had gloss black 205 gti wheels on it before the williams. Your frp looks nice from the pic's i've seen. Where abouts are you?

Just in Stoneyburn mate not far, you couldn't miss that yellow thing!

I hated parking it anywhere! Everybody knew where you were and when!

The Williams a weekend Toy?

They are too soft imo:

This was after 2000 miles...

Hankook Ventus S1 evo seem the best choice from what i have been reading, or the Continental contisport contact 3 get good reviews too

could do with some camber on them :) although in saying that ive got quite a bit of camber on mine at the mo and they are wearing quite strangely but i do push them hard as im looking to get through a set before winter comes :)

sidewalls are a little soft if you dont keep a carful eye on tyre pressure you can find the shoulders rubbing.

i have used them as track tyres and a brand new set in horrible standing water worked very well but once used a little and the edge taklen off the tread they did get a little loose in the wet, good for dry though i found.

lasted longer than i tought, equal to pirelli p zero nero which are about same price imo

for the money they do the job

If you're not going on track, try Eagle f1 assymetrics. Im shocked at how much grip my set have.

Have been top spot in most tyre tests too.

Aye kinda mate it's a little project for me and my brother was a total heep when we got it but we've fixed her all up just need to get it resprayed now.

Ive done around 6,000 on mine and im still undecided about them tbh.

Been getting quite a lot of squeel lately most of the time not really pushing hard.

Some corners in the warm the feel epic and grippy as anything. Most of the time though, with the weather we have in this lovely country they arent all that.

Ive yet to find a "good" tyre in the wet. But i never drive fast in the wet anyway.

Ill try something new when i need a fesh set but that doesnt look like it will come for a while they still have easily 4-5 mm tread all round. Ive swapped front to back once already. My cars only used weekends and evenings so most of the time its not being driven slow.
