Part No. for exhaust manifold heatshield

  BMW 320d Sport

Hope you got the engine out cos its a real knuckle-skinner putting in one of those properly. The two nuts at the bottom are a nightmare to get on

I aint had the heatshield on my valver in 6 months, somebody mentioned that it was dangerous, although other than a little extra heat reaching the brake lines, I cant think how it would be dodgy really. However what does everybody feel, somebody put us right, as £35 aint as bad as I thought, and maybe I should get a new one

yeah, it is the top one, think it was £44 inc vat from reno. I didnt find it such a hard job, long arms help, though one of the bottom bolts is quite tricky, i just used a socket and turned it by hand.

I think it is gonna help keep the brake fluid cooler, and should last longer now too.
