For a ph2 172, need to get my reverse lights working again to stop eejits in car parks trying to drive in to me

Is the connection to the sensor green??
I have same problem, just carried out a bit of snooping and relised if that if that is the sensor i loose gear box oil when changing it?

the connection on my ph1 is indeed green
