Part Number Query - Who knows their french onions?

  Saab 93 Aero Wagon
Part number geeks need only apply to answer this one.

Two front shock absorbers, both Renault (KYB) and both supposedly for a PH1 172 but both with differing part numbers, albeit one digit out.

82 00 681 105
82 00 681 106

Which is the correct one for the car?

Emma, I think you are bang on the money.....as I had suspected. My brothers Ph1 was fitted with Ph2 front shocks.

Shocking. Excuse pun.

lol ... were they fitted by that well known Dorset based Renault tuning company?

Or just supplied?

The mystery of the epic PH1 positive camber = wrong front dampers.

No Dave they were supplied AND fitted. I KNEW something was up. Well......it was pretty obvious. At least 2 degrees POSITIVE camber kinda gives the game away.
That and the fact it was knackering front tyres....

What a f**k up! I bet they added the usual Ktec Tax on to the parts price as well.

I've got standard rear dampers instead of cup dampers.

No idea if there's any difference, but there is according to wests part list

You've read it wrong, Ph2 and Ph2 Cup rear shocks have the same part number.

Actually reatards. They didn't think something was wrong when they aligned the car after fitment?

Name and shame please.

Aligned the car? Don't be daft....that blatantly never happened either.
It ruined a nearly new pair of Toyos because of it as well.
It now has a correct pair of front shocks on it and now needs two new tyres on so I can get the geo sorted.

Twas a Ktec special Gal.
