Part Number Request

There is an exhaust fitting kit comprising of 2 springs near where the gasket goes. I've been told that I need to get one from Renault.

Just need to know what the hell the part number is so that I can order one...If it makes sense...there are 2 springs (one on either side) coming from the gasket (IIRC) and these move to stop the exhaust rattling.

If anyone can help...it would be most appreciated. (I've been told that they should be about £30 if that helps anyone).

The whole episode has annoyed me a little, as I went all the way down to Cardiff thinking that it was the exhaust failing. Gotta get it done before the RR.

Do these parts take a beating in day to day use? Just wondering as Charlie did replace a spring on it when he was first fitting the exhaust back last year.

£9 from renault manchester was shocked and had to ask the price twice im sure he fucked up on the price.

£29 + Vat from Renault Warrington.

Renault Manchester (Salford!) would probably just nick it from another car!!!! Wouldn't trust that lot to touch me a car...never mind sell me one!

If they are THAT cheap...then could be much better than I first thought. :approve:

I'm glad it wasn't the exhaust, as I do like Charlie @ Pro-speed's work. He's also changed the build for the 172's exhaust, as there were a few failing because of the diameter of pipe going to the old backboxes (longer silencer). He now does cones onto the backbox so that the welds don't break.

Just gotta find somewhere to do it for me, as there is a LONG wait at the place I normally book the car in at...and I want this sorting NOW!!!!

Fred, If its THAT cheap, just need someone to fit it! (Kwik-fit will only put it on with an exhaust! Had to try as they were only place open today)

Is this the official Renault part, or a motor factors replica?
