PAS rack differences

Whats the difference between the racks on the clios 1998 onwards i.e renaultsports and non renaultsport models

Rs's are driven manually by a pump & use PAS fluid/pipes
Non-Rs's are electric

Thats with the Ph2-> though isn't it? The Ph1 were mostly all hydraulic?

Yeah all Ph1s where pump driven, all ph2s, ph3s, ph4s electric.

Thought so, although there are a few very early Ph2s that are hydraulic and I think vice-versa with some very late Ph1 1.2 16v too.

I've seen one on a Y plate so very very early Ph2.
