Car  GONE!!Yozza'd BG 182
i take it that this is my PAS switch?

i hope that this is the source of my PAS fluid loss, which is all over the engine bay!

Will the pump be damaged as i lost all PAS about 20 mins from home, and had to drive home without it, will the pump have run dry and burned out?

Yes that's the pressure switch. Getting more common that they leak badly.

Regarding the pump, suck it and see, you might be lucky

I drove home 2.5hours on the motorway with no PAS fluid. The pump still works like a champ once the leak was fixed, you should be fine :)

Brand new sensor is only just over £20. all of them leak slightly now, so using a second hand one would be the wrong thing to do

Mine shat itself a few months back, I managed to limp home and changed it for a new unit the next day, not too expensive, and it's a doddle to do.

My pump was perfectly fine as well.

I've recently had mine replaced too, had Birchdown change it as I wasn't sure what I was letting myself in for.
