passenger seat air bag

  S4 Avant
trying to get my 182 back on the road after a crash.
Just wondered if it needs the passenger seat replacing to get it through a VIC or will stitching the seat back up without the airbag be enough?

You can stitch the seat up without the airbag but you'll get the airgar warning light on the dash since the stems been activated but it won't fail test

You should replace the seat back though as once the airbags gone off the seat back is damaged and should always be biinned.
To get rid of the light you need to either
1) Unplug the light on the dash
2) Get the airbags computer fault codes cleared (£60 ish from places on ebay etc) and then stick a new airbag in the car or stick a resister in the airbag do a search for values the resister should be between.

Idealy fix it correctly or else bin the whole lot and get different seats.
