Passenger seat broke.

Yesterday my mate was in the back flicked up the handle to tilt seat forward and slide it forward it wouldnt.

So now the seat doesnt slide all the way back on the handle underneath the front of the seat or slide forward when tilted forward using the handle to get in/ out of the back.

Any ideas how this can be fixed easily?

The mechanism will have screwed up inside the seat I reckon. Pull the cloth covering the back of the seat off and have a look inside. Should be fairly obvious whats broken.

Just take the head rest off and pull upwards? Seems easy, so i'll probably break it more.

No you take the cover off the seat from the bottom at the back. The leather is hooked around a thing at the bottom. unhook and pull up to the top and take a look.

Had the cover up, no idea whats up with the mechanism.

Looks like more expense.

You could pick up a second hand seat cheap on here or ebay. Few minutes to fit (deep socket & a trolley jack)
