Passenger side window on my 197

Hi there this might b hard to explain but the other day I went to put my passenger side window up I used the switch on passenger side and it would only go up an inch at a time I tried to the drivers side switch and it does exactly the same so that rules out the switch it does the same when putting it domn too any suggestions? Thanks hope that's makes sense
