PC Experts - case fan voltage?

I'm trying to find some silent fans at the moment to stick in the back of a cabinet that I have a HTPC and surround amp in. Are normal PC case fans all 12 volt?

normal fans are 12v some silent fans have some restrictors between so they work on 7 or 5 v to make them slower but a lot more silent

As hardcore said, try and get some that will step down so they can be made quiter. Or by a seperate fan controller that mounts on the front.
