PC to TV

Want to connect my PC to my TV to watch downloaded tv shows etc... however i refuse to run a long S-Video cable and sound cables all the way down stairs.

How else can it be done?

Ive seen Kiss media players which connect through the network and allow access to files on the computer. Also the 360 and media centre has the network connection but you cant play Divx files easily/simply.

Other than that i could make a media centre PC but more hassle than i want to do right now.

Any suggestions, anyone got a Kiss box?

One thing you could consider is a wireless video and audio sender.

I've never actually used one so i've got no idea what they're like, but it might be a way around using cables.

Think you need a specific PC > TV sender unit. Think they are best part of £100 on ebay.
