PE2 Vs Rs2

  Fiesta ST Stage 3
Just out of intrest how much more dry road grip do the Hankook RS2 give over the PE2 . I have read that the RS2 are close to R888 levels of dry road grip ???

haven't used either but can't see RS2s being anywhere near R888s, mainly due to softness. R888/similar aren't a sensible road tyre..

Ive heard Pe2's are better in the wet but Rs2's are better in the dry, im going to try rs2's after ive got through my paradas

Rs2's are a far better all round tyre than pe2's. Used both on road and track.

And has anyone had a go with this one ???

Taking out wet roads how do you rate the RS2 over the PE2 in terms of dry road grip . A little better / lots better ???

Night & day.
(allow time for tyres to warm up ;) )
Not got the outright 100% grip of R888's but are very playful on the limit.
Unlike R888's, grip, grip, grip, grip let go! usually very fast at the time of letting go:)
Also your car don't sound like a 1950's landrover on road.

 Realy that much of a difference . I would have thought that the PE2 would be quite close to them ???????????

  Dodgy one
Whats the lifetime on the Rs2s like? I've still got to replace two of my PE2s after 2 years  The other two are holding out well too and theyre easy a year and half old, Got about 20k on one pair :)

  Looking for 182
How does the Hankook RS2 compare to the V12? Camskill seem to show about £20 difference (neither in stock though!)

v12 is a good all rounder at a good price (something like the PE2)
rs-2 is more track focused, a softer compound, stiffer sidewalls, orientated towards dry grip. increased wear rate obviously

How? Sure i paid £200 for 4 x 195/50/15

Good tyres, better performance than general road tyres like pe2's/f1's etc but dont touch 888's in terms of grip.

They are definitely stickier than regular tyres though, the sound of having all sorts of shite stick to them and get thrown up into the arches is getting to 888 levels lol
