Pedal position sensor?

can anyone tell me whether this pedal position sensor is a major fault and should be immediately replaced, or is it something thats not very important at all?

i found this fault while doing a diagnostics check myself and was wondering if it was a real issue and what it actually does?

The throttle one can be.

Its most likly the throttle though that dirtied up not the pedal position one.

Clean the throttle body most importantly.

Whats the easiest way of doing this? any guides...

Strip the throttle body out get some carb cleaner and clean away trying not to adjust the throttle body so cotten wool buds etc.

so im guessing this takes alot of time and effort, whihc i dont have, damn it. so the pedal position sensor doesnt really do much?
