penalty points

Does anyone know what length of ban you get when you exceed the 12 points on your license

Cheers

Like i say it depends on the circumstances, i know a guy a few years back that got a years ban and that was just from speeding; think they were all quite close together mind...

Saying that i know a lad who only got 6 weeks for doing 120+....

Thats the justice system for ya, lol

This is the situation, Ive got ten points on my license already and Ive had a police notice in the door.

I was doing 93mph on the motorway on boxing day. So Im assuming that Ill get the fine and 3 maybe 4 points on my license with brings me over the 12.

The ten points are quite old, nearly 3 years, so Im hoping for leanancy because I havent had an offence for a long time since today

prolly a bit late now but 10 points.....didnt you get the hint to slow down??
Like I said it was 3 years since my last car offence, so its not like I am speeding allover the place, and for your information none of the previous penalty points were for speeding.

So keep your sarcy comments to yourself

dude all hes trying to say is that to rack up all those points, and to get more now, you must be doing something wrong, regardless of the offence or timescale.

hope it works out for you. you never know the judge night of got some the night before.

some people on here have been through this and got off with a big fine and a telling off

Pretty much what i was getting at. No offence meant mate, just out of curiosity what were the other points for?

Points are only valid for 3 years, but stay on your slip for 4.

you should get 3 points/60sheet fine mate, 95 is the cut off on the motorway ie. 96mph goes to court.

^^^

Yeah i know points come off your licence after so many years. Might be worth checking how many. Could save you alot of worrying.

Good luck mate
