Performance After Mods

can anyone tell me if doing these mods would loose me any performance from the engine . i have had a new stainless from the cat back and put a induction kit on to me 172 cup but i feel that it has not given any more peformance , is because i am driving it everyday and don't really see the change ????????????

Is the IK sealed or open? If it is open it may well be drawing hot air which would lose you power and torque. Try a decent cold air feed or even boxing the IK in away from the heat of the engine.
As for the exhaust, it will liberate a few bhp but will allow the engine to rev more freely due to lower restrictions. If you are still running a Cat, this would be where the real gains come from. You should be able to achieve between 5 and 7 bhp with a decat and a healthy chunk of torque, both of which would easily be noticeable.

is it worth putting factory air box back on and getting a panel filter or keep th ik on ?????????

depends on which induction kit you've gone for.

open induction kits such as a 57i generation 1 will only really produce a nice noise, whereas something like a viper/itg maxogen should be better than a standard panel filter.

You would be hard pushed to notice any difference IMHO as the benefit if any is marginal.
I doubt most would notice 5-10bhp either way.

if its an open induction kit, you could be losing the power that you've gained from the cat back system.. but like stu8v says, it'd be hard to tell the difference from small gains IMHO..

great thanks peeps . it just feels as though it has lost more than it has gained . but i will maybe put another Ik on as it is the kn 57i . cheers
