Performance panel filter

Anybody got a performance replacement filter on their 172. Is it worth spending £40ish quid on one of these?. Dont really want to get a induction kit as my car is back and fore in reno all the time..! Theyll only moan about the waranty!

Ive heard green ones are supposed to be good. Ive got an open piper X one Im really impressed with (and yes its been off 27 times whilst the cars been in to renno!)

ive got a panel filter in my 1.2 Rich, and i still take that out everytime it goes in :) Rob

ITG are supposed to be the best panel filter available, pair this up with hillpowers replacement intake pipe to connect airbox to engine side for better flow, pipe is about £43 for cliosport members so looking at less than £50 inc vat, p&p.

I have a green element filter in the garage, i had it in the car for about 500 miles...it is clean and in good order..i am going to sell it for £15 plus postage

It was good, I took it back out because i refused to pay Direct Line another £60 a year on car insurance.

It is still in its box

I have a Pipercross filter fitted. You get your money back after a couple of services anyway, as you dont have to pay Renault to replace it every time.

You told them about a direct replacement panel filter? I bet they thought induction kit when you said "filter" 60£ for a pannel filter lol I can add ECU/Manifold/de-cat/cat back to my insurance for 56£!

Ive got an ITG panel in my 172. I previously had a Pipercross one until it fell to bits!!

No problems so far with the ITG one, seems very well made.
