Permanently disable ESP

Hi,

Does anyone know if you can permanently disable the ESP on a 172? by permanent I mean turn it off on the ECU/UCH etc with no light on the dash.

I believe you can reconfigure the dials to think there is no esp. But, that's not to say it would disable it.
