pet hate

grrrr, was working on a site today doing some overtime and is it just me who gets really annoyed that people actually screw in their monitor plug into the back of their pc.

is there really any need?

it seems a really silly pet hate, but it really annoys me. it's not like the cable is gonna fall out randomly.

I always screw them in otherwise if you move the base it can easily come loose.

What i DO hat is people that screw them in with superhuman tightness, so that when you do unscrew them it takes the lug screw (going into the graphics card) out with it !!

I always screw them for the reason above.

And I also screw them too tightly so the lug screw comes out as well. But I'm heavy handed like that with a lot of things.

i also hate usb pen sticks that are too big to fit in usb ports with anything else plugged in around them, and loads are too big to plug into the front panel on some pc's due to the surrounding plastic.

lol i never bother screwing my monitor in, no point as i can access everything without having to pull the tower out

i allways screw em all where possible , but not tight . Hate the arses that see the screw head on some n tighten em as far as they can

hahaha mate sooo funny you've said that i totally hate this too. Im an IT technician at a hospital and am always out and about replacing monitors and printers. is so friggin annoying when i get round the back of the pc and they've screwed the cables in...some are a complete bee-atch to get out. The worst are the older parallel cables where u actually need a small screwdriver to undo them

I think he means screwing them in with a screwdriver rather than making them screw in by hand.

I allways do them by hand as its a pain having to find a screwdriver. Thankfully I dont have to grovel under desks much anymore I have someone else to do that shizzle for me
