Sorry ?

:dead:

Petrol light should come on when you have approx. 1gal of petrol left. Look at the miles to go, and the miles per gallon, and see if you can work out when it'll come on.

It's also an R(eserve) not a zero at the bottom of the gauge... I've never managed to put more than 45 litres in the car, even after doing 40 miles past the fuel light.

If you actually manage to run out without trying, it's quite an achievement

Ohh this explains alot, I thought my gague was messed up, I ran for 50miles when the fuel light popped up, filled the car and it only took 45litres when I thought the tank was 60? Since then ive been ignoring the light and running 100miles when it comes on and then fill up.

Guess my gague could still be wrong though and ive just managed to be lucky on petrol. I know its low when I go to start the car and it takes ages to actualy turn over.
