i currently have a 1.4 16v 1993 honda civic (im just waiting for the right valver to come along) and im just wondering if you guys could help me:

i fill the tank on my car for £36 and i can only get about 270 miles out of it!

whats the mpg of that?

also if i move onto a valver will i notice a big difference in the petrol bearing in mind its going from a 1.4 16v to a 1.8 16v? (i dont red line in every gear)

£36 divided by the price of fuel per £ per lier ie ~0.82 gives the amount of liters you put in the car so about 45. Divide this by 4.5461 coverts to gallons so about 10 gallons and youve driven 270 miles so 27mpg .
