Petrol Smell?

HELP! Getting a petrol smell coming through the vents and have no idea what it is!?

Haven't had any work done lately at all, has been like it for about 4 or 5 days, more easily noticeable at slow speeds or when idle. Had a look under the bonnet but can see nothing.

Any suggestions? Its a Mk2 Ph1 1.2 8v

i had this too when my flexi pipe was fucked. so could possibly be that. apparntly you can't just buy the flexi pipe on it's own, its the whole shabang (cat etc)

Seriously? Fuel filter next stop then, think i'm gonna have to get myself a Haynes! Broke!

Check the O-ring for the connection to the fuel rail, may be perished/split.

I defo needs me a Haynes then, all these things i need to check and not a clue what the look like where they are!

At least i've got axle stands and a trolley jack now!

not notice a reduction in mpg? might be leaking from sumwhere when driving, fuel being pumped round but obviously the fuel doesnt move when stopped...fuel filter first stop tho
