Petrol Tank overflow?

On filling up tonight petrol started flooding from under my car, it's an 03 plate 172 cup.

It's never done this before but i presume it must just be an overflow on the tank? I did fill it until it couldn't take anymore so i think this could be the problem.


Any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated.

Overflow ? It's not a toilet cistern...

There's a leak or you overfilled it.

So if i've overfilled it and it's pouring out then it would be "overflowing" wouldn't it?

A vehicle's fuel tank is a sealed system. If it's not coming back out the hole you put it in, there's a problem.

The place where clios leak usually is the sender unit ring under the seat.

Went out this morning for a look and all appears to be bone dry.
