ph1 172 gets owned!

Used to love the Uno Turbo's - so much tuning potential. The 172 driver seemed to be changing up a bit early but taking nothing away from the little Fiat.

There is nothing in that Uno, no interior whatsoever.

Quick little cars and very tunable.

Shame it was straight line drag with no corners involved...

The uno was stripped out.
I really like the uno turbo's, a security guard had a mint one at my uni and I'd chat to him about it, I was impressed with it tbh.
They are fantastic cars but it's difficult to get a rust free and unthrashed example, similar to the R5gtt's these days.
Given a choice of old skool hatchback I'll be biased, I'd rather the renault 5 turbo for the looks.

I know of one though, been used in Monaco for a few years, 1 owner, sub 30000 miles and spotless!! Guy just wont sell it though even now hes back in teh country, owner must be 60-70 I reckon!

no way he'll sell it?! my mates desperate for another one.

my mate had an iveco truck intercooler on the front of his, went from one side of the front bumper to the other side lol

There was a guy called DUnc on renaultsportclub that had a similar sized IC!

I dunno he might for a serious cash offer! Everyone has there price!

HAHAHA - Who cares if it had a jet pack attached to it, it beat the clio. get over it.

OH IF ONLY HE HAD REVVED MORE!!!! :|

The thing everyone forgets is that standard against standard the Ph-Quick would edge ahead according to book figures and QTR Mile times.

If its modded then fair play as you cant take that into account.

The Uno Turbos are quick as they are baked bean tins. Its the same as the old Polo G40s. I used to be in the Polo club and there were a few G40s running 160+BHP at the wheels which would easily see off a standard 172.

Shbz

Love the uno turbos, actually better mechanically than the R5 due to them being fuel injected. Can get the power out of them more reliably. Still have the R5 tho ;-)
