ph1 172 idle problem

Car  Megane 225
right as the title says i have an idle problem on my 172. when starting the car from cold the engine dies straight away unless i rev it. then after like 5 mins the engine will not idle at the correct revs and rises and falls between 1100-2200. this keeps happening untill the engine is turned off. start it again car idles as normal then as soon as i touch the throttle the engine startsc revving itself between 1100 and 2200 revs again. if anyone has any idea what this could be plkease help!!!!!

oh yeah its had a diagnostic check and no faults wrer found

if the idle is lumpy your iac valve needs a adjustment or changing
if the idle stays constant for example on 2k your throttle needs a little motor oil
but yours seems to be teh iac
take it over clean and turn it a quarter turn clock wise
then put it back
4 cables comes to it finally check the 4 cable which comes to iac
if one of them cut it also makes like that

no it doesnt stop when i lift the pedal it just seems to do what it wants!! lol recently had a new cable fitted coz my last one snapped

if you never take the iac off
i must have 2 rivets on it so cut the rivets
and while refitting it apply there 2 screws.;)
after that you can take it when you want
you can adjust and clean it like that
i think the ideal gap must be approx. 1.5 cm
