ph1 172 new steering wheel but no air bag light - help please

Hi guys, need you help.

I really really want to get an after market steering wheel for my ph1 172. very concern about the air bag light staying on. I know people have taken out the bulb or have tape it up, but i dont want to do that. where can i get the wheel installed, without doing the above.

Please help guys. I hate my bus steering wheel. :dapprove:

Middo didn't he had his arbags switted off.
4 Ohms resisters seems the best value although 1.8 to 6 can be used.

Maplins etc any electric replace place will have them only a few pence.

actually went to my local garage to have a word today and mentioned this, and my car has got a resistor fitted into the loom, but has also been turned off on clip. crashed the car and the airbag should have come out without question but it didnt. so in my opinion it must work

Ok so just turned off on the clip then, will the light still come on if i do so.

nope. thats what the garage would have done, but my wheel came with the resistor so they used it as well.

so just to confirm resistor on wheel and turn air bag off using the clip thing?
