ph1 boss on ph2

What are the differences?

I've seen posts on here where people have claimed they have fitted ph2 wheels/bosses on ph1, so a boss supposedly intended for a ph2 should fit, no?

it will fit, but it will rub until you cut something,

not 100% certain what you have to cut though but its a small modification!

My omp one fitted straight on, dont know if they all do.

My boss has gone on, it doesn't have the locators for the rotating part that presumably covers cancelling the indicators and the steering angle sensor, but after removing the plugs from the wire strips, they seem to keep it in position through the hole in the boss. However, once tight I get a cracking noise, as if something is getting caught up as I turn the wheel.

I have a feeling its something to do with the wires that don't fit through the hole properly - is it possible to remove these?
