Ph1 gearbox trouble I think ? HELP !!

Hey , well what a day I was driving my clio about 10 mph just pulling out petrol station and then all of a sudden I got a loud bang noise and lost all drive and lost loads of gearbox oil the car sounds like a proper bag of spanners is in the engine , I managed to get it towed back to my house and it sounded horrible just on tick over !!

I how ever did have trouble not long back with the circlip that poped out the diff and I got that welded in and have done about 400 mile since , does it sound like my gearbox is knackard ? Or could it be the diff that's knackard ?or any other ideas please help ??

Undo the 3 bolts holding the driveshaft cover to the box on the passenger side and have a look at the Circlip. Welding it in isn't the best solution ....

Its popped again and either damaged the bellhousing or parts have gone through inner shaft boot hence dumping all gear oil

Oh a rebuild at least if the casing isn't damaged
